Are you sure about this town?
How can you be!? For all we know we’re walking into some sort of trap.
The last of the cell phone services went down days ago, and one of the last messages of advice I got, was that a town called Winterhodge Hollow is yet to be affected by this shit. It’s out the way.
Shiro: And so what!? That means hundreds, probably thousands, of people are heading there now.
Ollie: No way. Everybody else’s phones died days… weeks ago… I only kept mine going for so long because I turned it on for a few minutes a day. I think this place is worth checking out.
Shiro: It’s a big fucking risk though.
Ollie: One worth taking, right? I mean, everywhere else is infested to the brink.
Aimi: We have to try, Shiro.
Shiro: You best be right about this.
Ollie: I am.
Shiro: How far away by car?
Ollie: No more than two days.
Aimi: We should tell the others.
Henry: You feeling OK?
Karen: Henry, I swear, if you ask me that one more time today…
Karen: Fancy a walk?
Karen: I was harsh, wasn’t I?
Georgie: A little. He’s only trying to help.
Karen: I’ll apologise later.
Crystal: Did you get Mummy any water, Mikayla?
Mikayla: I couldn’t find any.
Crystal: Aimi has them.
Mikayla: She said if you want any, you have to ask her.
Crystal: For fuck sake! I ask you to do one thing!
Crystal: Get out of my sight!
Joy: Are you are all right, sweetie?
Mikayla: I’m OK.
Joy: Honestly, Jai, I’m this close.
Jai: Don’t let her get to you, friend.
Joy: What sort of mother speaks to her own child like that!?
Jai: I know. It’s disgusting. But we don’t need any more arguing, so try and stay calm.
Please help me…
Wait… please… come back!
Crystal: Have you seen Mikayla?
Joy: Since you told her to get out of your sight? No.
Crystal: What’s your problem, Joy?
Joy: You, as it happens. I don’t like the way you talk to your daughter.
Crystal: Excuse me!?
Ollie: Everything OK here?
Jai: There’s a bit of tension…
Crystal: There you are!
Crystal: Let me make something clear to you all…
Catelyn: The way I raise my daughter is none of your damn-
Shiro: Get in the cars now! We’re leaving!
Crystal: MIKAYLA, GET BACK HERE AND HELP MUMMY!
Ollie: She’s gone into the woods!
Joy: We need to get her!
Shiro: WE NEED TO GO!
Joy: Zahra, come on!
Ollie: We have to leave!
Karen: What the hell is she doing!?
Henry: Get in the car, Karen!
Georgie: We can’t just leave her…
Ollie: She’s not listening! We can look for the kid as we go, but we need to leave now!
Jai: Joy, come on…we have no choice!
Catelyn: It’s gotta be a safe-haven, right?
Catelyn: I’m fine… just tired, is all. It’s been a long trip.
Catelyn: The baby’s fine, too. Still a kickboxer in training. C’mon.
Steph: Hold it!
Catelyn: We’d like a place to stay!
Steph: Got any weapons?
Catelyn: A few.
Steph: We’ll open the gate. If it even remotely looks like you’re reaching for a weapon, we’re shooting you down. Understand?
Steph: One moment.
Catelyn: Stay calm.
Luke: You guys checked out Michael’s new lab yet?
Charlotte: Nope. You’d think with the help we gave him, we’d be entitled to have a peek.
Bobby: Looks like our services are no longer required.
Charlotte: It’s Luke’s fault for killing patient zero.
Luke: Oh, don’t. I’m still embarrassed.
Bobby: You OK there, Lydia? You’re really quiet.
Lydia-Jean: Oh, I’m fine thanks. Just a headache.
Charlotte: Go to Coleman. He’ll give you some painkillers.
Luke: They’re not giving meds out for things like that anymore.
Lydia-Jean: I’ll be fine.
Luke: Ooh, look alive, gang. Got some fresh meat.
Alexis: I’m Alexis Norton, the leader here.
Catelyn: Hi. I’m Catelyn. This is Zahra.
Alexis: You seem to have a little stowaway.
Catelyn: (Laughs). Yes. I’m six months.
Alexis: Then thank goodness you found us. Living outside these walls is no place for a child, let alone a new-born.
Alexis: If you’d like to stay, we have some conditions.
Alexis: You’re to hand over all your weapons, and agree to a strip-search. This might seem intrusive, but it’s to ensure you haven’t been infected.
Alexis: Is that a problem? Our doctor will conduct them and it’ll all be above board. You have my promise.
Catelyn: It’s fine.
Alexis: Good. If you’d like to follow me.
Bobby: That’s one creepy lady.
Georgie: He hasn’t been seen since last night?
Jai: Nobody’s heard from him.
Georgie: We’re expecting him to be drunk, right?
Jai: I’d like to think he rose above it, but yeah, we’ll soon see.
Oh, Danny Boy… Danny Boy… the pipes, the pipes are calling…
Georgie: Well, that answers that.
Jai: Sean, it’s Jai and Georgie! We’re not the dead so for crying out loud, don’t shoot us!
Sean: Whey! Hey there, friends! How’s it hanging?
Jai: How much have you had?
Sean: I stopped counting after the first eight or nine, old man.
Jai: Come on, we’re taking you home.
Sean: Home? What is this you speak of? I have no home.
Georgie: Sean, don’t be stupid. You belong with us.
Sean: Nah, Georgie, sweetheart. Bloke like me… best left alone.
Georgie: Enough of this, Sean.
Sean: Just leave me be.
Georgie: We’re burying Annette in an hour.
Sean: That so?
Georgie: You should be there, Sean. You need to be.
Sean: Georgie, lass, you’ve always struck me as a cut above the rest when it comes to your brains. You’re not winning any prizes or anything, but you’re a smart fuckin’ cookie.
Georgie: Your point being?
Sean: I’m just confused, is all. As to why someone as bright as ya’self would think for a second I’d ever attend a funeral for that lying, manipulative bitch.
Jai: Have some respect, Sean.
Sean: Oh, fuck off, will ya!? I’m supposed to respect her!? After what she’s done to me!?
Georgie: I’ve spoken to Penny and Rachel…
Sean: Who the fuck’s Penny and Rachel!?
Georgie: Annette’s friends! They’ve told me that had Annette known what this would have done to you, she never would’ve…
Sean: What, Georgie? Never would’ve what?
Sean: Given me the time of day? Became my friend?
Sean: Made me fall for her?
Jai: Sean, I can’t imagine how you must be feeling…
Jai: I understand you must feel betrayed, and I hope you forgive me for playing devil’s advocate here, but I honestly don’t think it was Annette’s intention to hurt you.
Sean: Well, she’s hurt me all right, old man.
Jai: You’re a wounded warrior, my friend. You’ve been through so much. But you overcame it… you can do so again. I know you can.
Sean: MaryAnn taking me boy and walking out on me… don’t get me wrong, Jai, that hurt. But I deserved it. It was me own doing. But this? I thought I’d found my perfect woman in the midst of all this fuckin’ shit… after everything we’ve been through… she made me fall for her… only for her to…
Sean: No. This is worse.
Sean: In fact, it takes the fucking biscuit.
Sean: Going for a piss.
Sean: See yourselves out.
Coleman: If you’d like to step through here behind these curtains, ma’am, I can begin your strip-search.
Coleman: Miss? It’s all right to be uneasy, but I assure you it’ll only take a few-
Coleman: Then I’m afraid I’ll have to have Steph call for security and you’ll be escorted from the premises.
Steph: You were both told what you needed to do in order to be accepted into our community.
Coleman: Yes, and considering what you’d have here, it’s more than reasonable.
Catelyn: I think Zahra would simply prefer it if somebody else would take a look at her.
Coleman: You mean a woman?
Coleman: Well, I suppose that’s fair enough. Steph?
Steph: Bite marks or scratches, right?
Coleman: Uh-huh. Be thorough.
Steph: Want me to buy you a drink first?
Steph: Tough crowd. Come on. Let’s get this over with.
Catelyn: I’ll be fine.
Coleman: Shall we get to it?
Catelyn: Doctor, do you mind if I confide in you about something?
Coleman: What is it?
Catelyn: Before you freak out or say or do anything rash, please, give me the chance to explain properly. I have my baby to think about, after all.
Coleman: I’m listening?
Aimi: You not coming to the funeral?
Shiro: I didn’t know her that well, so I offered to go on watch.
Aimi: That’s good of you, brother. Want me to keep you company?
Shiro: No. Go. Pay your respects.
Aimi: See you later.
Shiro: You not going?
Drew: I’m not a funeral person.
Shiro: But it’s for Annette. You liked her, right?
Drew: She was the one of the few people here I could tolerate.
Shiro: Then why aren’t you going?
Drew: Funeral’s aren’t for the dead.
Shiro: You’ve been quiet. Would you have preferred I not told you? About your sister?
Drew: There was always that nagging question… whether she was alive out there somewhere or not. Now I know for sure. It’s better this way.
Shiro: You going into Alexis’s complex as a spy… it’s gonna be dangerous.
Drew: I’m aware of that.
Shiro: I’m just saying, you don’t have to put your life on your line for us.
Drew: I’m doing it for Vicky.
Shiro: My point still stands. Would she want this?
Drew: You almost sound like you give a shit. My mind’s made up. Shiloh and Donna are taking me there later.
Shiro: Then don’t be surprised if it’s your funeral next.
Henry: There’s no denying it: death is practically weekly for us here at Midway. We’ve grown used to losing people. Yet it doesn’t ever seem to get any easier, does it?
Henry: Annette is no exception. She was a remarkable woman; a selfless one. She soldiered on in silence in spite of everything she was going through. She was there for us… she provided for us… she mothered us and the entire time she was sick.
Henry: She showed so much strength.
Sean: Fuck sake. Can’t a man have some goddamn privacy!?
Sean: I told ya to fuckin’ leave, old man!
Donna: What the fuck’s wrong with you!?
Sean: Fuck… that was a close one, eh?
Donna: That new lease of life didn’t last long, did it?
Sean: Ha. That’s the understatement of the century, lass.
Donna: Get your shit together.
Sean: Why should I, eh?
Donna: You want to get yourself killed? Is that what you want, retard?
Sean: What do you care?
Donna: I don’t. It’s just pathetic to watch, is all.
Sean: Fancy giving me a hand home, sweetheart?
Donna: Saving your life wasn’t enough?
Penny: She was always so nice. I lost my mother at the start of all of this. Annette was there. Nobody can fill the void of what was taken away from me, but she…
Sean: Oh, what the fuck’s this?
Henry: Sean, please, just go home.
Sean: And miss paying tribute to Mother Teresa? Wouldn’t dream of it.
Peter: Sean, now’s not the time.
Sean: Actually, son, it’s the perfect time. Were you finished, blondie?
Sean: Just checking if you were done, ‘cause I have something I’d like to say.
Rachel: Sean, please stop this.
Henry: You’re upsetting people. I won’t allow that.
Sean: Oh, take a fucking chill pill, Gandhi. I’ll only be a second.
Henry: Go home. Before I lose my temper.
Georgie: Sean, please, listen to him.
Sean: You lot are supposed to be my fuckin’ mates!
Aimi: We are!
Javier: We’re just looking out for you, amigo.
Angie: Javier’s right. You’ll only regret this later.
Sean: Why don’t you let me decide that for myself? Now, time for me to say my bit. (Clears throat)
Sean: Whilst it may have seemed that our recently departed Annette was a kind, thoughtful, selfless woman, the opposite was in fact true.
Sean: Long story short, she lured me in and spat me out.
Sean: I hope the lying, manipulative witch rots in-
Jai: Get him upstairs.
Howie: Is it true!? The scientist has the dead in his labs!?
Alexis: Look, everyone calm down. I’ll get Michael to come out here and explain.
Monika: Do you not know how dangerous they are!?
Alexis: Of course I do, Monika.
Monika: So you bring them inside!?
Monty: My daughter’s right. This is madness.
Trudy: Think of the risk! There are children here!
Alexis: We’ve taken extra precautions to ensure all of the groaners will be completely under our control.
Monika: How can you be so sure of that!?
Howie: They’re dangerous and determined! They’ll stop at nothing until they’ve broken out from whatever rickety cells you’re holding them in and they’re out here tearing us to shreds!
Alexis: None of our defences are weak. There’s no way they’ll be able to get out.
Monty: I’m sure you believe that, but Monika and I were holed up with several others before we arrived here and there were multiple fences surrounding the house… and they still got through!
Monika: We were the only ones who made it out. I won’t go through that again!
Alexis: Nobody’s asking you to.
Trudy: You clearly are!
Steph: I’m sorry to say this, Alexis, but I agree with them. This doesn’t sound like a good idea.
Bernadette: Everyone, please, give her a chance to speak.
Trudy: How can you be OK with this when you have children with you!?
Bernadette: We’ve jumped down her throat without giving her a chance to explain.
Alexis: Thank you, Bernadette. As I tried to say, in the extremely unlikely event they were to make it out of Michael’s lab, we have strong fences surrounding the perimeter with armed guards watching twenty-four seven. If any get out, they’ll be shot down in seconds. Long before they stand any chance of getting free.
Monika: I guess that’s true.
Monty: Armed guards, you say?
Alexis: Day and night. You have my word.
Monty: Then I guess it’s reasonable.
Alexis: I want you all to know I care about your views on this place, which is why I’ve decided to set up a committee. It shouldn’t just be down to me to make all the decisions around here. I also can’t spare the time to answer each and every question every resident has.
Alexis: Howie, Bernadette and Monty, I want the three of you to form this group. You’re full of wisdom and experience, something which comes with age. Years I don’t have. I’ll appreciate your counsel, should you be willing to spare the time to give it to me.
Bernadette: I’ll be honoured.
Howie: Well, it’s about time. I suggested this long ago. I’m glad you’ve seen sense. I accept.
Alexis: Excellent. I’ll leave the arranging of the first meeting to you. Thanks, everyone. Have a nice evening.
Luke: Congratulations, I guess? This is the happiest I’ve seen you in weeks.
Bernadette: It’s like I said, Luke. Playing the devoted public works. Now I’m in a position of power. Alexis’s days are most certainly numbered.
Luke: Maybe they are.
Bernadette: If only Derrick was wise enough to have listened to me… he’d be coming home to have dinner with us rather than lying in a ditch with a bullet in his forehead.
Charlotte: Can you believe that shit?
Bobby: They’re really risking it all by having them in.
Lydia-Jean: It seems to be under control.
Charlotte: Come on, Lydia. You’ve lived out there. You know how determined those things are. They stop at nothing. This doesn’t sit right with me at all.
Bobby: What are you suggesting?
Charlotte: Maybe it’s time we hit the road?
Alexis: And where were you!? I could’ve used your help out there.
Michael: Sorry. I was having a talk with Coleman.
Alexis: What was so important?
Michael: I had a health related question.
Michael: Patient-doctor confidentially, I’m afraid. Ain’t that right, doc?
Coleman: Indeed. Now, I’d best be going.
Michael: Thanks again.
Alexis: What was that about?
Michael: I’ve just said.
Alexis: You’re not dying, are you?
Michael: Relax. I’m fine. Although I might just drop dead of shock. I over-heard the last part of your speech. You’re setting up a committee? Giving the little people some power?
Alexis: They’ll think of it as that, yes.
Michael: So, what’s your agenda?
Alexis: People look up to Monty. He’ll be able to keep people calm if need be. He’s also persuasive. That’ll come in handy. Howie, on the other hand, is a busy-body and a nuisance. Having him fooled into thinking he has a say around here might just shut him up.
Michael: And Bernadette?
Alexis: She’s gone out of her way to get in my good books, to prove her loyalty and her desire to please me.
Michael: And you don’t trust that?
Alexis: She’s the biggest threat of them all.
Catelyn: That was something, wasn’t it? I’m not sure what to make of this Alexis woman. I thought she came across as power-hungry but considering she’s starting up a committee, maybe she’s not all that bad. What do you think?
Zahra: We’ll see.
Catelyn: Hi, Doctor.
Coleman: Can I borrow you for a moment?
Catelyn: It’s OK. Zahra knows.
Coleman: Oh. Well, I just felt you should know that Michael would like to speak to you when the time is right. If that’s all right with you.
Coleman: He also feels that keeping all of this between us might be beneficial. He isn’t sure what Alexis would do if she found out.
Catelyn: That suits me just fine.
Coleman: All right. Sleep well.
Catelyn: Thank you.
Zahra: Sure we can trust them?
Catelyn: They seem like good men.
Zahra: It’s not them I’m worried about.
Jai: Welcome back to the land of the living.
Sean: You pack a powerful fuckin’ punch, old man.
Jai: So I’ve been told.
Sean: And here I was thinking if I had one true friend in this world, it was you.
Jai: I did it because I am your friend. Henry was this close to banishing you.
Sean: Pfft. He ain’t got the guts.
Jai: Don’t push him, Sean. You’ve pissed a lot of people off today. Everybody here loved Annette.
Sean: So did I.
Jai: Yes, and she hurt you, and I’m sorry for that, but you were lucky someone didn’t blow your head off down there!
Jai: Stay here. Sober up some more.
Jai: And if you wonder off to get more drink, you’ll see how hard I can really punch.
Sean: Love you, too.
Henry: Honestly, Peter, I was this close to doing a lot worse than knocking him out.
Peter: I’m sorry; Henry, but surely you can understand why he’s so upset?
Henry: Of course I can. I feel for the man, but the people here are my priority.
Peter: So, we’re not a part of this place?
Henry: You’re putting words in my mouth.
Peter: I’m not the enemy here.
Henry: I’m sorry. Really, I am. I don’t mean to be so up-tight. I’ve just got a lot of angry people to deal with right now.
Peter: I’ll speak to Penny and Rachel.
Henry: It’s not just them. Shiloh loved Annette. Had Sean said anymore, I wouldn’t have been surprised if bullets went flying. I can’t afford to have that sort of conflict within my own people. We have enough threats outside to be contending with.
Peter: I get that.
Henry: He has one more chance, Peter.
Shiloh: Ready to go?
Drew: I am.
Shiro: Good luck. And watch your back.
Aimi: You all right?
Shiro: Why wouldn’t I be?
Aimi: It’s just…
Shiro: I’m fine, sis. Really.
Calvin: Are you OK?
Georgie: I’m so embarrassed.
Calvin: About Sean? None of that’s on you.
Georgie: I completely understand why he’s so upset, but for him to do that… at a funeral!
Calvin: He’s not a well man. It’s the drink. It turns the best of people into monsters.
Georgie: I hope you all don’t think any less of our group.
Calvin: Of course not. You’re quite a hit here, you know?
Georgie: I am?
Calvin: Yeah… especially, you know, with me. Not that it matters, or anything. I didn’t mean that in a weird way, it’s just with-
Georgie: Learn when to stop talking.
What makes you say that?
It’s just a bit of a risky move, is all. They do monitor the buildings around that place. You know that.
Lorna: What can I say? I’m worried.
Eli: What? That your little pet has turned against you?
Lorna: No. She despises Alexis. I’m sure she’ll be true to her word.
Eli: Someone new is going on watch, you had best make tracks.
Lorna: I think you’re right.
Eli: So if the child’s loyalty to you hasn’t got you worried, what has?
Lorna: She might have got cold feet.
Eli: Oh, that wouldn’t suit you at all. She’s your way in, after all.
Lorna: She’s an easy plan A. With or without her, I’m getting inside.
Eli: I wonder what Beatrice is up to right now…
Eli: What? A guy can’t help but wonder.
Lorna: You know the rules. You can talk to me… you can stick around…but none of that shit, all right?
Eli: Lorna, sweetheart, you know full well this isn’t me. I’m as dead as a dodo. As extinct as a dinosaur. As forgettable as… you know, the fourth Beatle.
Eli: You’re the one who brings me here. Has the sun gotten to your bald head, or have you just genuinely forgotten?
Eli: It’s not me wondering about Beatrice. It’s not me who feels guilty about the abandoning my own child.
Lorna: Fuck you. Enough of this. I can’t… not today.
Eli: I know when I’ve made my point.
Eli: I’ll come back and annoy you around dinner time. Ciao for now.
Lydia-Jean: She seems like a better person. Maybe… she’s changed?
Lydia-Jean: And even if she hasn’t… how can I risk the lives of the people here!? There are children … a pregnant woman now…
Lydia-Jean: I can’t do it… I won’t…
Lydia-Jean: Oh. Come in.
Alexis: Sorry to disturb you. Bernadette said it was all right to come on up.
Alexis: She thinks I’m checking up on you, just FYI.
Lydia-Jean: All right.
Alexis: So, how’s it going?
Lydia-Jean: Well. I think they trust me.
Alexis: Good. Does Charlotte say much about me?
Lydia-Jean: Not really.
Alexis: I find that difficult to believe.
Lydia-Jean: I don’t think they trust you, is all.
Alexis: And why wouldn’t they?
Alexis: You’ve been doing well, Lydia. I’m impressed. Keep it up.
Alexis: Just to double check: the fact you’re my niece has remained a secret, right?
Lydia-Jean: I haven’t told anyone.
Alexis: Good. I think it might be mutually beneficial for us both to leave it that way.
Lydia-Jean: So, now that Michael won’t need as much help with his experiments, where does that leave Charlotte and Bobby?
Alexis: I’ll find something else for them to do.
Lydia-Jean: Maybe they can be runners? Go out for supplies? I can go with them. I’m real good at it.
Alexis: Jenson and his guys are more than capable.
Lydia-Jean: But aren’t they best suited for manning the wall?
Alexis: Hm. You may have a point. I’ll think about it.
Bernadette: Now first thing’s first, I do not appreciate you both lying to me about the food! If you do something wrong, at least admit to it! Lying will only make me crosser.
Alexis: Thanks again, Bernadette.
Bernadette: Oh, sure! No problem!
Shannon: Why were you yelling at us!?
Daniel: We haven’t taken any food!
Bernadette: Oh, I was just joking, dears. Not to worry.
Shannon: But why did-?
Bernadette: Read your books.
Donna: We should be there soon.
Shiloh: No using our guns from now on.
Donna: You had to fucking say it.
Drew: I’ve got it.
Shiloh: You feeling all right?
Drew: Why wouldn’t I be?
Shiloh: It’s just from everything we’ve heard… this Alexis is a dangerous woman.
Drew: She doesn’t frighten me.
Shiloh: Maybe she ought to. She killed your sister, didn’t she?
Drew: Can we just walk in silence?
Donna: What he said.
Shiloh: Suit yourselves.
Peter: He’s on probation.
Peter: One more fuck-up and he’s a banished man.
Jai: I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen.
Peter: Sean’s an untameable beast when he’s drinking, Jai.
Jai: Trust me, my friend. I’ll keep him in line.
Aimi: You all right?
Peter: All of this… trying to keep Henry happy, dealing with Sean, wondering if Lorna’s got herself killed… it’s just starting to get a bit much.
Aimi: I know. You shouldn’t have to deal with it all.
Aimi: You’ll be all right. We’re all here for you.
Peter: Thanks, Aimi.
Lydia-Jean: I have good news.
Lydia-Jean: I spoke to Alexis. She’s going to think about letting me, you, Charlotte, and Bobby become runners. We’ll be able to head out every now and again and get some supplies.
Luke: That’s great! I hate being cooped up in here all the time. It might just be me and you though.
Luke: I over-heard Charlotte and Bobby talking. I think they’ve had enough where Alexis and Michael are concerned.
Lydia-Jean: What makes you say that?
Luke: I think they’re planning to take out the dead in his lab.
Lydia-Jean: They’re what!?
Luke: Where are you going?
Lydia-Jean: We have to stop them!
Charlotte: They’ve already dropped the ball. No armed guards to stop us from getting in.
Bobby: Look at them, Charlotte.
Charlotte: I know. It’s sick. We need to take them out.
Bobby: Maybe we should just go?
Charlotte: All Michael will achieve is getting himself killed. He always relied on us out there. He won’t last a week.
Bobby: But that’ll be down to him. We’ll be long-gone by then. Won’t affect us. And you know they’ll only go out and get some more.
Charlotte: I guess.
Charlotte: You’re right. I’m not wasting any arrows. Let’s go.
Bobby: Oh, shit.
Bobby: There’s a little girl.
Bobby: What are we gonna do?
Charlotte: I’m taking her out. Putting the poor girl out of her misery.
Don’t make another move.
Alexis: Did you honestly think we didn’t have someone watching this place?
Charlotte: We just took out the girl.
Bobby: You can’t experiment on a child!
Michael: She’s deceased.
Charlotte: We don’t know what these things are for sure! There might be a little bit of the old person in there, you said that yourself, Michael. I put the poor girl out of her misery.
Alexis: You don’t have the authorisation.
Charlotte: Step aside.
Alexis: Excuse me?
Charlotte: Bobby and I, we’ve had enough. We’re going.
Alexis: You’re not going anywhere.
Charlotte: Wanna bet?
Michael: Guys, hold on…
Charlotte: Move out of my way!
Alexis: There are three guns on you right now, Charlotte. Do the smart thing and lower your weapon. We don’t want to have to kill you.
Alexis: I trusted you both. Gave you a place to stay. Gave you jobs. And this is how you repay me!?
Charlotte: Just let us leave.
Alexis: Arrest them, Jenson. Strip them of weapons, take them to one of the basements and lock them in.
Charlotte: You can’t be fucking serious!
Alexis: My word is final.
Monty: What on earth’s going on!?
Yvonne: You’re taking people prisoner!?
Alexis: I called these two breaking into Michael’s lab without permission. They’re reckless actions could have endangered us all. They’re under arrest. Let this be a lesson to you all. The lab is completely off-limits. Now, if you’ll excuse me.
Lydia-Jean: What’s going to happen to them!?
Alexis: People shouldn’t see us talking.
Lydia-Jean: Alexis, please.
Alexis: They’re too much of a threat. If they leave, they’ll have too much information on us. Information they could use against us in combat if they wanted to. I can’t allow that.
Lydia-Jean: What’s the alternative? Keeping them locked up for the rest of their lives?
Alexis: And waste resources?
Lydia-Jean: Death!? You can’t be fucking serious!
Alexis: Best to make an example of them. I’ll let the committee make the final decision, but after I’ve had my say, I think they’ll make the right choice. After all, those traitors were going to free those things. Let them out to take over this place. What sort of monsters would do a thing like that?
Lydia-Jean: That’s not what they were doing?
Alexis: Come on, Lydia. You know leaders have to bend the truth sometimes in order to do what’s right. To make people see sense. I know it’s an ugly business and I take no joy from it, truly. But I have to think about the safety of this place.
Alexis: Don’t worry. There’s still a place for you here. You and Luke, you can become supply runners you like suggested. We’ll speak later.
Luke: What did she say?
Lydia-Jean: If she gets her way, she’s having them killed.
Lydia-Jean: I wasn’t going to… I didn’t want to… not after seeing this place… I thought maybe she’d changed… but she’s fucking had it.
Lydia-Jean: I’m letting her in.
Luke: Letting who in? What are you talking about!?
Lydia-Jean: Let’s go back home. I’ll tell you everything.
Shiro: All right?
Angie: Uh-huh. Are you?
Shiro: Yeah… think they’re there by now? Shiloh and the others?
Angie: Probably. Depends on how many goons they ran into.
Shiro: I think it’s stupid, you know? Sending someone in.
Angie: It’s risky. We all know what Alexis is like.
Shiro: I know he acts tough, but Drew he’s… I dunno. Not as strong as he makes out.
Angie: That’s something you both have in common.
Angie: I’m sure he’ll be fine.
Shiro: Yeah. You’re probably right.
Angie: Does Aimi know?
Shiro: Know what?
Angie: That you’re gay.
Shiro: What? I mean… uh…
Shiro: No. It’s… not because I’m ashamed or anything. And it’s not as if it matters in times like this. With all that’s going on… it just doesn’t seem important, y’know?
Angie: It never was.
Bobby: She can’t keep us in here!
Charlotte: She can, Bobby. And she will.
Bobby: So, what’s her plan!? To just leave us in here?
Charlotte: I imagine she’ll try and dispose of us before too long.
Bobby: She wouldn’t go that far?
Charlotte: Go outside the walls and ask Vicky’s grave that.
Bobby: We’re screwed.
Charlotte: I don’t know about you, kid, but I don’t intend on dying anytime soon, so let’s not give up just yet, eh?
Bobby: They’ve taken our weapons.
Charlotte: We still have our brains. Our hands. Our feet. We can still do some damage.
Bobby: I guess…
Charlotte: Is it a bad time to mention I’m claustrophobic?
Shiloh: I have a bad feeling about this.
Donna: Pipe down, Yoda. It’ll be fine.
Shiloh: What if she figures him out?
Donna: He’s smarter than he looks… which isn’t saying much as he dresses like a cunt, but yeah. Give him a chance.
Jenson: We’ve got a new one.
Alexis: Again? Well, I suppose we’ll be losing two of numbers soon, so we have the room. Just the one, you said?
Jenson: That’s right. But I think there’s something you might want to know.
Alexis: Go on?
Jenson: He’s from the town Peter and his group are at. When Matt and I checked the place out the other day, we saw him walking through the woods with the Asian.
Alexis: You’re sure?
Jenson: A hundred percent. I asked Matt what he thought just to be safe and he agreed. It’s him all right.
Alexis: They must be sending someone in to infiltrate.
Jenson: Maybe he left or was kicked out? Decided to stay somewhere else?
Alexis: You were only there a few days ago. And in that time he’s found us already? No. Too fishy.
Jenson: So, what do we do?
Alexis: We bring him in, and then you and your boys raise your guns. We’ll lock him up overnight and question him tomorrow.
Jenson: All right.
Steph: Got any weapons?
Drew: Just my sword.
Steph: Keep it at your side.
Drew: I will.
Alexis: Hi. I’m Alexis. The leader. Do you-?
Steph: What’s wrong?
Alexis: Do I know you?
Drew: Uh, shit. Yeah, I think you do. You look familiar.
Alexis: You’re Vicky’s brother.
Drew: Oh… yeah… that’s right. You went to college with her, didn’t you?
Alexis: Here for revenge?
Jenson: Hands in the air, pal.
Drew: What the fuck!?
Jenson: Gently lower your sword to the ground.
Drew: Why should I?
Alexis: You wanna go the same way as your sister?
Donna: We best clear the area…
Shiloh: Fuck… FUCK!
Georgie: You proud of yourself?
Sean: Hm? Oh, what is it, lass? I was sleeping…
Georgie: I don’t give a crap. First thing tomorrow, I’m gathering the town together and you’re going to apologise for what you did at the funeral.
Sean: Am I now?
Georgie: What makes you think Annette set out to hurt you? She was a compassionate woman, a kind one, but she was also tough. She didn’t want any sympathy; she didn’t want anyone to look at her differently. Can you honestly tell me you would have treated her the same during her last few days if you knew she was dying?
Sean: She never gave me the chance.
Georgie: Her illness was none of your business. It was hers to deal with, Sean. Just because she was limited as to the number of days she had with us, doesn’t mean she didn’t have the right to live and to grab each and every moment while she could. She spent the majority of that time with you when she already had plenty of friends here. You shouldn’t be offended. You shouldn’t be angry. You should be honoured!
Georgie: You know what? My days are numbered. I know that. And so do you and the others. And you all treat me differently because of it.
Sean: That’s not true, sweetheart.
Georgie: Yes it is. You mean well, so I don’t get offended, but I’m tough, all right? And I’m alive. Just as alive as the rest of you. And whilst I’m here, I’m going to live. I’m going to build relationships an get close to the people I care about. I’m going to do things for myself.
Georgie: And if people don’t like it, they can go fuck themselves.
Sean: That’s me told.
Henry: What’s the matter, Shiro?
Shiro: I want to head out. See what’s taking them so long.
Henry: Donna and Shiloh?
Shiro: They should be back by now.
Henry: They should, but I’m not worried as of yet.
Shiro: What if something’s happened? Or they need our help?
Henry: If there’s three people who can handle themselves out there it’s Shiloh, Donna and Drew. If they’re not back by dark, I’ll sent out a team.
Dwayne: Hey, boss?
Henry: Yes, Dwayne?
Dwayne: They’re back.
Dwayne: And they don’t look happy.
Drew: HEY! Let me out! There’s been some sort of mistake!
Charlotte: Well, welcome to the same boat, stranger.
Drew: Who the fuck are you two!?
Sean: Oh, shit… that fuckin’ groaner did me back in.
Javier: You all right, amigo?
Sean: Been better, pal.
Javier: You not going to cause trouble, are you?
Sean: Me? The good Catholic, Irish boy? Not a chance. Where’s Peter?
Javier: With Henry, I think.
Sean: Ah, best get over there, lad.
Sean: Got me some apologising to do.
Henry: What is it?
Shiloh: You’re not gonna like it, Dad.
Henry: I gathered that.
Donna: She arrested him the minute he stepped in the door.
Shiro: For fuck sake!
Peter: Is he alive?
Donna: Yeah, she took him into custody.
Henry: How did she know!? Did he break cover?
Shiloh: It didn’t look like it.
Henry: They’ve been monitoring us. They obviously knew Drew was a part of this place. I should’ve seen this coming… Shit!
Henry: Not now!
Sean: I just wanted to say something, is all.
Shiloh: Haven’t you said enough!?
Peter: Sean, maybe save it for tomorrow?
Sean: Chill out, all of ya. I just want to say-
Henry: If you think I’m going to listen to a word you have to say after the way you behaved earlier, then you are very much mistaken.
Henry: No, you listen. I’ve got real shit going, OK? People to look out for, people to protect, and you’re acting like a buffoon who’s going to get people killed. You’re a joke, Sean.
Sean: I was actually coming to fuckin’ apologise, you piece of shit.
Sean: But you know what? Fuck it! Fuck the lot of ya!
Henry: I think it’s time you left.
Sean: You know what? You think you’re the big man, don’t ya, eh? The bee’s knees. You’re fuck all, my boy.
Henry: Watch your mouth.
Sean: You think you’re fit to lead this place? You couldn’t direct piss into a bucket, sunshine!
Peter: Sean, stop!
Sean: You’re as mad as a hatter if you think you can keep people safe.
Henry: At least I have people to protect.
Sean: You’re right there, son. You have. But not Karen, eh? She fucking left ya the first fucking chance she-
Shiloh: Get him out.
Henry: You heard him, Sean. Leave. You’re not welcome here anymore.
Donna: Shiloh, come on. Lower the gun.
Peter: What have you done, Sean?
Sean: Heh… doesn’t matter, lad. I’ll do just as well by me’self.
Sean: He thinks he can keep you all safe… bloke ain’t got a fucking clue… ‘cause it don’t matter, does it? We’re all fucked.
Sean: Doesn’t matter how fast you run… or for how long… it gets ya, Peter. Death gets ya.
Sean: All too soon.
